Upside Solutions, LLC is me, Lauren. I am self-employed with no desire to expand into running a business. Firms understand the business they are in. Leaders understand the objective of their teams. Individuals understand the role they were hired into.
Not all gaps must be closed, it may not be the most efficient or effective way to achieve your desired result. To be mindful of the gaps is to know what they are and the potential impacts they can create.
My technology & process consulting services are targeted helping address the digital gaps you generally see when it is “too late” Not all must be closed, being mindful of them is to know what they are, from there the risks can be identified and the path forward can be defined.
I opted to be vendor agnostic in 2011 when I realized the limitations it created; I remain that way with no plans to change.
Tech Support services & Level 3+ support are where I shine bright when others look to move past. I am able to ramp up quickly and often it is forgotten that I just started less than a month ago. I love being the supporter and enabler of others, be it on the ski slopes or on the help desk.
I naturally operate in a patterns first lens and support is heavily pattern based. My adaptable nature based on patterns comes my ability to integrate with my support stakeholders. Add in my love of learning, I am able to quickly learn the ecosystem I am operating in and identify the patters and in-turn gaps that lie beneath the pain points.
Technical project management/coordination is my second strongest and perhaps is the most sought after service for leaders who are looking to ensure they remain focused on the business and not the day to day project activities that cannot afford to fall short of expectations.
At its core and to sum it up, my services are about helping you informed decisions and providing hands-on custom to fit support services.

Dogs, skiing, scuba, and traveling + my the above define my Zero to Z. With this latest chapter in life and mindful of my own gaps. find balance in motion and all things are in some way or another interconnected; and so are my services. We may work together for a week, a month or a few years; to be fluid is to be stable, and to be clear is to be kind.

Cultural awareness is a critical success factor. For to me is this means to honor the individual and to build a shared culture of “we”.
Cross cultural purpose driven team building has been a intentional practice since 2017 with a focus on product managers + service + engineering teams. Prior to that I was the hands on keyboard engineer, support specialist, manager and process analyst. I have completed over 100 application migrations with the bulk of those in the biotech research industry. Traveling to visit my colleagues, clients and end users is a pleasure not a chore, however to stay put is to be with my dog and for me, to be “home” is to be with my dog(s).
